Hyundai has certainly made waves in the last few years. It was only a decade ago that people would chuckle at the mention of the brand. For mos Americans Hyudai was a cheap car that would not last and would not hold value. Oh how times have changed. Hyundai has made huge strides, addressed their issues, and is one car brand that is fast gaining the respect of not only consumers, but auto critics as well. Simply stated, Hyundai is no laughing matter.
Now Hyundai is entering the luxury sector hard, and bringing value that has simply not been seen. Starting at just $33,000, the Genesis is the birth of a new category in the automotive world. Value Luxury. At an incredible $21, 000 less than a Lexus GS 460, and $24,000 less than A Mercedes Benz E550, the Genesis is really turning heads.
While it may be to soon for a Mercedes Benz driver to make the switch to Hyundai, the Genesis will certainly attract middle income people seeking that elusive combination of luxury and value. In my opinion the target audience are the drivers of Nissan’s Maxima, Toyota’s Camry, Honda’s Accord, Ford’s Taurus, and any number of GM cars. The Genesis brings something to the table that these cars will have difficulty in matching.
Hyundai proudly stacks up their Genesis against the best of Mercedes and Lexus. The list of features is stunning, and if you think about it, makes the price gap even more substantial! It is almost as if you could buy two Genesis vehicles for the price of One Mercedes-Benz!
What Hyundai has accomplished is to offer true luxury to the masses. No longer do middle class buyers need to be strapped with car payments approaching their mortgage payments, or sign themselves into a lease that allows them to drive a luxury car only 10,000 miles per year!
Items like navigation, leather, DVD capability, Bluetooth connectivity, Sirius XM Satellite Radio, power adjustable seats, heated and cooled seats, and rain sensing wipers are just the beginning with Genesis. Check out a Genesis.
